If you search on columbus, you get Refine results for columbus: click on dining guides and you get a whole new set of advertisers becuase G is automatically putting in a new search query... columbus more:dining_guides. i have tried several variations of keywords to target the results based upon the query columbus more:dining_guides but have had no luck. What is the solution?

That is a very good question.
If you are using a phrase or broad match for colombus the ad should be displayed, for example a florida more:lodging_guides (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&lr=&rls=GGGL,GGGL:2006-30,GGGL:en&q=florida+more:lodging_guides&cx=destination_guides&sa=N&oi=cooptsr&resnum=0&ct=col1&cd=2) query lists many sponsored links.
If you are looking to target the exact match for this I would suggest trying [columbus more:dining guides].
I hope this helps and would be interested in hearing how this works.

Some of your keywords are not accepted for the following reason:
* Keywords may not include the text "more:".

That's interesting... does anyone know of any Google guidelines or documentation on what are acceptable characters for keywords?

I've just tested this and keywords using ":" is acceptable but "more:" is not.
The Google AdWords help center search doesn't seem to be working for me at the moment so I can find any list of illegal characters, it's mainly symbols like %, ?, =, or @ though.
