Google Title Tag - Consistency Throughout Site or Not?

Hello Everyone,

Question:

Since Google seems to give some weight to Title tags, is it a good idea to keep the title tag the same for every page of your site (keeping with an identical "theme", so to speak), or is it better to have differing title tags on every page?

Sorry if this question is so basic for you old-timers out there........but just trying to understand this better.

I had a bad experience with pages having the same exact title. A lot of pages were de-indexed when i did that. So be careful

Dont use the same Title tag, this is duplicate content and can land you in supp results

Have each title page match the content. I would not even repeat company names etc. in title tags. (unless of course if your company name contains appropriate keywords)

You'd better use different meta description, keyword, title tag for each of your pages.

It would be a good idea to use the same theme such as:
<title>Page Description | Company Name</title>

But definitely not identical titles for every page, you should make the most of these to rank for different keywords related to individual pages content.

Yikes, did you ever fix your pages and have a change to get them re-indexed?

I agree with an earlier post about the company name being repeated ONLY if it contains a keyword that you will be using on the page.

Ditto, infact this is one of the biggest SEO mistakes you can make. Each page should have a specifically tailored title tag that features the keywords that that page is targeting.
