My first post to the new roundtable forum! Nice job Rusty, looks great.

My client has 22,000 pages indexed by Google.
Most of these pages are unique, yet when performing a site:www.xyz.com in Google, only 4 pages are displayed - the rest are omitted, with this familiar message:

"In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 4 already displayed. If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included."

What is the best way to approach solving this problem? Am I allowed to post URL's in your forum?

Thanks!

http://www.google.com/search?q=allinurl:www.weichert.com%20site:www.weic hert.com

Look at this page with filter 0 (http://www.google.com/search?q=allinurl:www.weichert.com+site:www.weiche rt.com&hl=en&lr=&c2coff=1&start=50&sa=N&filter=0)

It may be the URLs, can you do a URL rewrite? But should you?

Yea, I think you should. :)

I think the most important change to do is to make every page's title unique, you have a lot of spam there...

The answer is provided. "In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 4 already displayed."

Your pages are considered irrelevant because they are very or entirely similar. If you have the time to make each meta tag unique, more and more will be added to the list. The four that are coming up now, likely have some External Incoming Link Flow. Start by doing some research on Irrelevant Webpages.

It could be possible that your other pages are similar in terms of content/design.

Othewise I do not see any plausible reason why Google should display 4 links

I also, am having a similar problem. Google just started indexing the bulk of my site yesterday. The site uses joomla as a content manager and simple machines as a forum.

I have written all the content from the site - and am uploading roughly 1000 articles. It has been very time consuming and would it be would be very disheartening if I can't get these pages to be recognized.

I appreciate the help- hopefully it is not too much of a headache to rectify
