You don't need too, just a get a few backlinks and wait a week or two Yahoo takes a little longer then the others, I would recommend authenticating your site this will help and if you have an RSS feed you can submit that, here is the URL:

I have to second what David has said here and to achieve backlinks, you just have to do a lot of forum visits and postings and also blog commenting by visiting blogs that are related to your business. Another way is by directory submissions and lots and lots of press releases.
:) I know it! It's my job right now...:)

To submit to yahoo, you shall have an yahoo account, no matter it's email account or not. Log in and at the bottom will or right bottom has the link to submit to yahoo.
The quick way to index by is to submit to yahoo directory.

(You must have an account)You will get a lower score in Yahoo for using this until the Spider finds your site naturally. I recommend getting some good links to your site and you will be indexed.

Instead of submitting the url to the search engine, i would prefer to get some back links and get automatically indexed. Article submission, directory submission are the best methods to get one-way links. So keep on link-building.
