Lycos Directory

Lycos have launched a directory,

It's $49 a year to get listed, It doesn't have any PageRank at the moment but I would expect it has quite a few juicy links, it is in association with Linkcentre.com.

Maybe it doesnt have PR because of other reasons?

I can remeber hearing of Lycos a very long time ago in fact I think that is where webmonkey first started if I remember correctly. I thought lycos and excite had some sort of ties at one point as well. I will have to research it more but I am pretty sure I remember it back around 1998 anyhow.

Yeah, it shut down though and last year it restarted in partnership with LinkCentre, it's a peach Kev, I got my directory listed in the business & finance page (PR5) two clicks away from the Lycos homepage, £49 a year, can't go wrong.

I have a site listed on a PR5 page in the Lycos directory for free. It must have got in there when I submitted it to LinkCentre.
