Ok I've just got a new adwords clients but this brings the total to 4 in the same area..

Would it be a good idea to use the time to switch on/off differnet accounts thus stopping them competing with each other?

30 min slots ? Anyone tried it..

In about 1 hr I'll have control of 40% of the first page ads in the uk for this theme heheeheh :D

I am considering the same thing. How is it working for you? Has goog caught on?

That's a good point, it would be interesting if it could reduce the overall CPC by scheduling each clients ads at different times to remove some of the competition. :D

This is an interesting strategy, but I am not sure if I would do it in half hour blocks. I might consider 2 hour blocks, but I guess with some testing you could get a good idea of what works

If they are independent companies, then surely you've got to act in their best interests.

I assume that they each have different conversion rates, margins on sales, etc, so the amount that they would be bidding to maximise their profits would all be different.

Trying to fix the bids would only work to a point, as there are (I assume) other companies bidding on the search terms, so you'd still drop down the listings by reducing your bids.

I'm in a similar position, and the biggest problem that I have is writing the advert text. They can't all be the same (as this would reduce the effectiveness of all of them), but what do you do when one advert is outperforming the others?

Hence the point of rotating times..

That also would bring the PPC price down..

Still haven't had time to play.. Hopefully soon..

Wouldn't work in my case. The adverts all run 24/7, and they are very competitive with each other (they are all local, and pay close attention to what each other are doing).

If one of my clients saw his advert disappear, and an identical (or very similar) advert appear for a competitor in the same place at the same time, he'd (rightly) question whether I was really looking after his best interests.

After all, I wouldn't have put the advert there in the first place if it wasn't profitable!

I can see that if they were all using their daily budget, then rotating them would benefit them all.

I'd need to think about it a bit more, I think, after all, even as things stand, only one gets the click each time...

How about using them at the same time if you have different domain for the four site

Well, I think its a bad idea to have 4 clients in same industry. Having said that, instead of scheduling them for 2 hours, just reduce the overall CPC to a point where someone else doesn't come above you and actually impact your CTR and rankings...
