I know there is currently thread discussing Yahoo's disregard when using the no follow.
I have my robot.txt file says to disallow the directory containing the ppc pages from all robots. Also in the meta tag of each of those pages is:
<meta name=robots content=noindex,nofollow>
Yet for some reason Yahoo is indexing my pay per click landing pages. Does anyone know how I can stop this?
Google and MSN 's spiders are following directions and not indexing.
Thanks
Block the page in your robots.txt
Sometimes once something has been indexed your need to remove it as "noindex" can equal don't update..
I had clients that have been desperate to remove names out of the serps.. It take time..
yahoo site maps has a removal tool no ?

That is true. Once the pages are crawled and indexed, it might turn out to be very difficult to make them unlisted again, as nowadays search engines are not listening to the meta tags and the robots file that much.
It will certainly take time, especially on websites that are not getting refreshed quite often.

they never get unindexed....look at google's 10 year old index that they put out into the wild recently.

Make them mount register all right result very difficult, now, search engine listen to those a lot, label of meta and file of robot at that time again.

that's pretty lame. You would think yahoo would be better about acknowledging the robot.txt

You can also remove pages from Yahoo s Index trough Yahoo s site explorer tool, the only problem is that this tool lets you remove a maximum of 25 pages
