Real vs Fake..

Is fake far to much...

In one of my forums someone has just posted this blog http://blossomandpenny.blogspot.com/ about a missing dog..

The link baiting potential is massive but so unethical..

Would you cross that line ?

I consider myself ethical and would never consider something like this BUT I can see why people would.

But it is only a regional issue... So local sites make most sense, no?

Agreed, wouldn't be national but that could repeated 1,000's of times..

I'm 100% sure the above link is real but if a fake blog was set up and a so called lost pet was found via the internet then that could become national..

randfish had a post before and his rental car being broken into and requesting any local info in regards to retrieving his laptop..

If things are retrieved (fake/real) then a so called blog network would make a national story would it not?

"blog networks recovers lost dogs"

Thinking outloud... Would make a nice post to show examples of this in action.

The wedding dress sold on eBay by the husband (was a lie).
The fake ransom of killing a rabbit or something in exchange for money...

Tamar, up for it?

Because the internet allows anybody to plac einformation I think it's the readers responsibility to decide if something is crap or the truth. The same goes for bloggers and webmasters, if they believe something is worth linking to then that's fine and the link baiter has done a good job.

A forum moderator should take care of the linkbaiters that don't obey forum rules.
