I am currently looking for some tips and suggestions apart from traditional link building to beat competition. Are there any?

Do you have some specific needs? Specific focus of the site you are working with?
- Valid Code
- CSS for Styling
- Tableless Design
- Proper Semantic Structure
- Text Menus
- Unique And New Content
These are just some of the basics, what is it you are trying to achive? I'd post a link to my blog at weslinda dot com but aparently I'm too new.

Well to be really frank, we are doing quite well, and are doing a lot of work in terms of relevant link building, posting fresh content, have a very good structure, table less design
I was just wondering if there is anything that i new in the seo techniques.

Well, I couldn't have gotten all that from your original post. And while there is always talk of new techniques, however I've found the best results come from the basics. Solid core design, fresh content and link building get the results.

Sorry man, no magic SEO button out there. Good content, solid links, solid design, and longevity are the true keys to success. No easy meal tickets laying around.

Unique content, best keyword related to your theme, intenal linking, H1 tag, link exchange with good PR and related to your theme, avoid network site or the same ip website.

Well that is well taken, I understand very well that there are no short cuts and its only hard work that finally gets paid off. But that anyways.

Linkbait - Create killing content and or tools that collect links like a magnet all by themselves. Content is king, links are the people?:p You need both either way.
And Google bases alot on the quality of links more than the quantity. So get links from related sites on content pages.

What are your thoughts on Rss Feeds?

Yes, RSS is a great tool to distribute content, delivering content to end-users or in short it bypasses the search engine crawler indexing process. An RSS reader feeds fresh content.
Other advantages of RSS are :
. RSS can be used to boost your affiliate sales.
. You can customize your feeds for your visitors, giving them exactly the content they want. And of course use that information to target your marketing messages to them.
. Using RSS you can create digital catalogues that deliver latest product updates to your customers, just as they become available.
