Yahoo! was rated the top Internet search engine surpassing Google for the first time in the University of Michigan’s American Customer Satisfaction Index.

It is strange news for me also, since I get about 94 % of my traffic from Google, and Yahoo contributes only 3% to my traffic.

Google is the main traffic contributor for everyone.

Agree with you buddy.

If we talk about SEs traffic to any website, then Google will the first search engine who gives traffic more than any other SE including Yahoo and Live.

Probably wrong but that survey wasn't talking about usage, more customer satisfaction. These users are happy with the content offering of Yahoo. I'm sure there are plenty of people who use flickr and Yahoo mail, going to Google for search.

Unfortunately, I got 404 when I tried viewing the link; but I guess Kaya is right. It's Customer Satisfaction Index. So although Google tops the SE, Yahoo still offers very good products that many people have enjoyed using.

I prefer Yahoo search over Google as a user, but as a webmaster to prefer Yahoo would be ignorant. Google always provides at least 3x the traffic that Yahoo does for me!
