Contrary to what the other members have said your blog is working perfectly.Submit your blog to directories using the proper keywords.Add a technorati tag to it,this will bring in visitors.Digg it or add it to deli..ci..ous.They are the major directories. You could also use submit express or isedb scoop.

Hello James,
After looking at your blog there are a few important factors that you need to consider:
-Permalinks: It is imperative that you change your permalinks for an optimal SEO ranking. So for example, where you have the link:
Rent a Flat and the Url is...
www . livesimply . co . uk/search.php?c=4&s=34
this will need to be changed to something along the lines of...
www . livesimply . co . uk/rent-a-flat
-Meta's: You have not included the Meta's for title and description, which will not only affect a search engines ability to locate your website but it will also mean your site will be displayed poorly when serched for in the SERP's.
I dont know what keywords/phrases that you're targetting so I cant be of help there. If you need anymore help let me know...
Nick :D

If I see well your blog is powered by the Google Blogger. I think if you would like build up a SEO friendly blog the WordPress would be a better choice. There a dozen of SEO friendly plugins for WordPress. However I haven't any idea what you can do on Blogger :(

If you are on your own host you can remove the navbar of Google Blogger, did you know that? Or it's just a domain but your web hosting is the Google?

do some training before you start. It will save you a lot of heartache.
Just do a search for blog mentoring or tutorials.

I'm really quite puzzled about this SEO thing. Is it really that important that almost all wants to hire SEO expert just to make sure their site, blog, articles, and the like will be number 1? Was it the totality of the article that matters? Just asking....;)

Blog explosion is a good way to promote your blog. Also submit to technorati and burn it on feedburner.:)

I don't think anybody mentioned it yet (unless I missed it), you should submit articles and link them to your blog. This helps a lot because it helps draw people who are specifically into your topic. GL w/ everything!

I already checked your website... if you want your website to rank to search engines then you optimized it... use those SEO strategies like social bookmarking, forum posting (signature link), online groups, submit your blog to blog directories and many more..

You need to change your permalinks to more relevant keywords instead of ex. =834. It should look like this: /apartment-buildings-available.html
That will allow for better optimization.

Try to participate in some of these strategies..
- article submissions
- blog commenting
- book marking
- classified ads
- directory submissions
- forum posting
- link building
- press release
Just make sure to submit your URL to relevant sites.

First thing I see is the opening line:
"The Blog for Live simply..."
...I assume you're asking for onsite optimization tips so here goes:
if it was my blog I'd open with this line:
"A great place to find and advertise available flats, apartments, houses, flatshares, bedsits in London and the UK"
115 characters
I'd put the keywords I wanted to be found under either in the first word or at least the first 4 or 5 words... not a sentence back
another thing is the title of each blog post.
first post I see is has this as a title:
live-simplky-update.html
it is mis-spelled but that's not my gripe... my bitch is that "Live Simply" doesn't denote you keywords
sorry if I'm being hard on you, but you asked:)

You have to get good traffic to your blog. Submit your blog id to different search engine tools. Submit RSS feeds to rss sites. Follow dofollow list.
