The web seems to be the most popular thing on the web

SEO sites and engines and directories etc which seem to be the web are the most visited sites on the web.

I am wonding how to boost traffic to other fields eg martial arts so to reap the rewards and to brand not only our site but the whole sport or more exactly martial arts supplies.

It seems there is no cap on number of visitors going to sites about / or that help increase visitor numbers to sites but there is a cap on niches.

Is it because there is a set number of people for these niches OR that the net hasn't taken off in these areas - so how brand these areas as net worthy?

Any ideas on how to promote an industry not just a site?

It is about the content and the community, imo.

PR (not page rank) .. the press.. word of mouth.. etc..

It seems also every industary has a presents on the web now.. If you have found one thats not then take over the lots..

e.g. industary = fishing..
buy www.fishing.com / .co.uk .org .net etc.. start a forum.. contact the press/mags.. ezines about how this industary is now online..
