Hi I'm a noob to the site (and if I'm telling the truth I'm a novice code'r and as for search engines? I'm lost)
The site is great and the replys to everyones ?'s are very helpful. The problem I have is this:
My site (my first) has about 30 / 34 pages. The company has 4 differing services with about 7 pages per service from about / details to faq and order forms. Now i've been told and have read the guidelines (and opinions! ) about keywords (in the meta sense not density that is ) should be 80ish char.
But each service has on my site has maybe 30 keywords (about 200 -220 char ) and if I spread them around the pages whats to stop people ariving at a page I don't want them to start view the site from. I guess there is an address I can put in a meta phrase that directs them to a particular page ?
Even when I cut them down further to 10 to 12 words or 80 char. I still want to spread the ones I've left out on the pages that people shouldn't view first.
Its not polite to ask for money without telling them what they are buying first!!!!!!!!

If some one could point me in the right direction It would be great.
I have cut the keywords right down over all but they all either lend to the theme of the site or the particular service or the area the company will call on / call out to.

(Thanks )

IMHO you should not pay too much attention to keywords, since not all SEs will use them and there are more important things like Page title, heading, content, links, link text, etc.

I guess there is an address I can put in a meta phrase that directs them to a particular page ?

I will suggest that you use redirect with caution. If you decide to use it, the syntax is:

<meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="n;url">

where n is the number of seconds to wait before loading the specified URL.
url is an absolute URL to be loaded.

thanks for the help. I'd only be using the redirect on a total of 6 pages. I'm keeping the content around 2 /3% keyword rich and original human browser friendly, the title and heading have 'Co. Name' ,Keywords, page name.
Links are another kettle of fish. I'm still reading the forums for tips on the links and Baclinks and PPc (thats the only acyronm I know when it comes to links - so I'm only starting out. ) Thanks again for that.....................
