The AEA (Adwords Editor Archive) format is just a zipped xml file. To get at it, just change the extension to .zip and inside you'll find data.xml.

Are any of you using the AEA format to bulk load campaigns using the XML format and editing, either in an XML editor or perhaps Excel?

I'd like to get past my sore "cut and paste" carpel-tunnel syndrome and use this if possible, but thought it worth checking in with the group.

Yes, there is a website using the aea file to automatically generate adwords campaigns. You supply your ad text, landing page and keywords, and it generates a campaign for you. All you need to do is import the aea file into Adwords Editor and post your changes. Campaign generation is easy, fast and saves you hours of manual labor.
