Does anyone know how the paid search detection tool in Omniture works? I have my paid search keywords tracking set up in omniture, but the numbers omniture is reporting a far less than the numbers Adwords is reporting. Can anyone help with this?!!!

This is why people prefer adwords .. because it is far more transparent than ay of the of the other services available .

I have found that this is most often caused by one of two things...
First, the landing page is tracked improperly. This means you haven't tagged the page properly with Omniture code. Check and see where your destination URL is sending those clicks, and make sure that all landing pages are tagged properly.
The flip side is that there are Cookie errors. There is no simple way to fix this, but if people are clicking the ad multiple times it may be tracked differently by Google and Omniture.

Even Google Analytics and Google Adwords will show different numbers but the actual figures are given by Google Adwords, as they gonna charge you on basis of number of clicks.
The datas are difference bcoz of Multiple Clicks within stipulated time period, cookies issue, if visitor has closed website before it get fully loaded, etc.
So if you need only figures (number of clicks) you can rely on Google Adwords but for analytics you can track through other tools.
