There has been some discussion regarding bad placement on Yahoo! but excellent placement on Google. has anyone come across a solution to this problem. I have sifted through my code and can't find a good reason why this would be happening. Any additional input or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Although Google and Yahoo have the largest share of the search engines traffic, this does not mean they have the same algo when it comes to finding and ranking websites. Google loves powerful links pointing to websites, and even a great link in Google can help rankings. Yahoo on the other hand loves links, lots of links and might not be that careful like Google to study each link's power and credibility. But one thing is certain, many links and great content will help rankings on both Google and Yahoo.

Is it me or does it seem that the lower the activity on a se - google, yahoo, msn then ask, the more irregular and mixed up the results follow when compared to google's?
On a side note, could ask.com have anymore sponsored results...sorry, had to let that slip.

Google looks at the quality of back links whereas Yahoo needs bulk of back links to score higher rankings ;)

I have always found that Google cares more about offsite SEO and Yahoo cares more about onsite! Spend sometime optimizing your site for your keywords and see if your rankings spike on Yahoo.

Yahoo is nothing because it blacklists real webmasters' interests. I never care about yahoo ranking.
