Hello, MSN forum members

I had submitted my website "comfortinnsunset.com" in MSN Webmaster tool in December. But after submitting, in webmaster tool, i had noticed that my website looses ranking. Before submitting in webmaster tool, my site ranks well in MSN, but after submitting my site OUT'S from the Top 100 results.

Also my site also drops indexing also, before submitting my site has 10 index pages in MSN but now i have only 1 page index.. I can't understand why it is happening. Can anybody tell me that did i done some thing wrong by submitting my site in Webmaster tool.

Please suggest me.

Thanks & Regards
Shailendra Dubey

Continue on link building and be patient. MSN sometimes is slow in indexing the site.

You may try to pay attention to the following:
backlinks on every page of your site
as soon as you add new pages-again more backlinks
make your content unique

one of the keywords on the site I'm optimizing drop but just continue on link building as long as you know you are doing it right. A little sad because I was able to get it on track but i still lost it again because I focused on one keyword.

HI,

Consistency: Ensure the signals are pointing in the same direction. URL structure and canonicalization, internal linking, rel=canonical tags, XML sitemaps, robots exclusions, should all follow canonical standards for your site.

Efficiency: Enable compression and http conditional GET with If-Modified-Since to give the crawler a break. (Bingbot supercedes msnbot, but the latter should still be used in robots.txt and elsewhere redundantly with bingbot until officially deprecated.) Microsoft has a handy tool for checking both compression and conditional get requests.

Quality: Have high-quality content. Don't try to squeak by with thin content and lots of authority pushed through the link profile.

Links: While I hate to say it, Bing's engine certainly appears susceptible to link spam. Not a good thing, and I'm not advocating anyone follow the path of paid links, but they sadly seem to work all too well on Bing today.

For good traffic
1. Get Quality links
2. Keep adding original content on site.
3. Go to 1.

If you see many links missing on Bing, try adding links manually using the Bing webmaster tool ( Index -> Submit URL’s)

Also check your server logs to find if the MSN bots are crawling without any issues.

When all ok ... Wait... it may take weeks/ months for issues to fix.

Well this may be due to content.
All you needed is to continue the back linking. This drop down will certainly come to an end.

It's not that after submitting your site to webmaster tool your ranking is lost, there may be some inconsistency in your work or internal page promotion is not done sufficiently.

It takes some to get indexed in the search engine. So better wait for time and it requires some backlinks which is good.

I think you should try Google web master tools instead of MSN. Google is turned to an iconic search engine now a days and if you work hard on it you can get better indexing in Google and can also get better traffic.
