Yeah, non-quality posts might be removed :D

For example: pointless one-liners (...he hastens to say heheh)

And 25 post to have link in signature...

I'm curious as to what would class as quality?

Adulu
04-12-2008, 08:37 AM
Maybe post on specific category which is quality.

Quality posts would be on-topic, offering good answers to questions, or asking questions, where the answer cannot easily be found by a web search.

Surprising to see that no moderators has commented on this thread! Just before a minutes I also was stopped to post link.... I wanted to help some1 with cache issue but uncertainly can't due to privacy policy.

Though, I respect rules & regulations of forum.

Moderators have commented. Is there a question or just complaints?

good question you have here...

Quality differs from Person to Person. For experts something is quality and for beginners something else is quality!

But I heard it needs 25 posts.

Its very low compare to V7 Forums where they require 50 post before you have your signature.

Maybe the bar should be raised to 50 posts?

rustybrick

Maybe. :) What ya think...

It was not like that before, it was instant .. my old profile with them still have links in my signature with less that two posts.

SEOroundtable forum should include that in the FAQ, I hate when I see the default vbulletin FAQ section left untouched the way it is not here.

Forgot to add that there is a bug in the link filter for less than 15 posts .. I was writing a replay and asking a guy to search his domain after stripping the www. and the .com .. and the system told me that I can not post links as I have less than 15 posts ... I figured out the the plugin the does the check up had been programmed to detect any www mention and block it ..

How do you measure quality?

And why am I a farmboy? I dont even know how to milk a goat.

Quality would mean relevant posts.. where you share some information too.. bla bla.. and not just some "I agree" or "thanks" posts.. right?

Honestly, why the big deal over 25 links? you guys are making it obvious you're only here for the links! :D .. really obvious...

I think it's very clever - as long as they don't consider real users as "spammers"

Wit
07-01-2008, 03:42 PM
Pffft I bet that bumping lots of age-old threads with one-liners qualifies as spamming.
Even here :)

Well.. I don't know what you expect... it's a forum and people write what they think... you can expect everyone to have a 5 lines response to every subject! it's natural to write one-line-response!

Does anyone know if there is a spot in the system that will tell you how many posts you have up? Should I look in the CP?

Thanks
