Hello Friends,

I had optimized my site Royal Rickshaw, a fashion related website, where all keywords are in 1st page in Google and in Yahoo. But three keywords like fashion Dubai, Dubai fashion, fashion in Dubai are in 1st page in Google but still no listing in Yahoo. Now just before I had changed Meta tag again.

Can anyone tell me what’s the exact reason, where all other keywords are present in Yahoo and Google in 1st page, why not these 3.

I eagerly wait for positive response.

Thanking you

Annie

SEO is about more than just meta tags. Yahoo can be slow at indexing sites. Is your site listed in Yahoo at all?

One possible reason could be the differences of their process and algorithms for indexing and ranking. It's a fact that SEs works independently so a listing in Google won't guarantee you a listing in Yahoo and others.

The best thing you can do is follow the basic on site optimization techniques, and get as many high quality links pointing to the site as possible. I've noticed that yahoo almost always comes quite a bit behind google.

Yahoo has it's own ranking algo and is constantly tweaking it as well. It's more sensitive to on page items than Google is, so I would make sure to focus on that as well.

One matter which is regularly seen nowadays happening across the web is that as you go further exploring new areas of web marketing and commercial ventures and add newer keywords to your website's pack, it will tend to get more difficult and complex even if you follow the same proven ways and methods of web optimization which is followed by standard ways like link building.

Dear bhaumik,

I optimize your site, and you must increase your backlinks in yahoo.

I have found yahoo to be slow in indexing pages. How long have you seen the variance?

Nothing to do with Meta tag

I've had this happen a lot with some sites. I've got sites that I'm #1 organic in Google for several keyword phrases, but like 8th or 9th on yahoo, or not found at all for other phrases that are #1 in google. I found that springing for the $299 Yahoo directory listing helps a little, and it seems that Yahoo puts more stock in archaic methods such as meta-data, and keyword density.

I know your pain I am 1st for the keywords makemoneyfree makemoney free make moneyfree and I think 5th for make money free usually but I don't get anything from yahoo not even on the first page when I type in stuff like makemoneyfree comuv com <which is my website without the ... what is really funny is the fact that hundreds of the sites I advertise on come up before my site even my forum which I do little advertising for. Who knows I really am starting to hate yahoo.

If your sitbsite will be indexed in yahoo eventually, as yahoo bots pick up most google content and sites within google search.

yahoo sometimes are faster than google. the thing is that the search engines indexes in a circle(time). who indexes you first and if your site is better, you go top

Yahoo requires that the site list the physical address of the business somewhere on the site. This address must be a physical one, they do not accept post office box type addresses. This is one way they keep scam artists out of their search engines. The idea is that only people who are planning to rip off others have hotmail addresses and post office boxes.

Hope help :)
