I use kwdiscovery which I find really good for organising kw searches but gotta admit kwcountry looks superb - a really good way to monetise your sites and find niche terms quickly. :D

keyworddiscovery.com is GOOD. It covers all the search engines. Fantastic tool.

Excellent list. I have heard excellent report on Keywordcountry. I have been tempted to use it myself but just don't have the nerves to put down the cash as my total intake is much less than that right now.

Curtiger - I know it can be difficult to justify costs but I think that Kwdiscovery is very quickly becoming an essential tool for all seo/sem professionals.

TBH I would be stuck without it, it allows me to discover those niche and long tail terms that I wouldn't have necessarily found - and it gives your clients new promotion possibilities and will allow you to create new strategies for them.

If you have to use Overture remember it doesn't give as good a slice of the search mkt as the paid tools.

Always remember to take the actual traffic figures of all these tools (paid or free) produce with a pinch of salt they are approximate figures.

Look for keywords that match your clients business and not necessarily the big traffic generators. If your client is looking for leads and revenue it's much better to have 15 visitors for a particular keyword and 5 that convert than 100 visitors and 2 conversions. Your client will appreciate this strategy if you explain it correctly - if they don't get this and want pure traffic it's time to say goodbye.

Find keywords that you can use to lever a strategy for the client rather than which terms have the most traffic.

Not bad!

I wouldn't use it as a stand alone, but it did reveal a key term that I had overlooked.

Thanks!

I have looked at keyword country and have thought about coughing up the cash but just don't want to. Maybe I should come off the hip and throw the cash up so that I can spend more time selling and less time researching sites.

Just a thought. Thanks for the great keyword.

That's the best one? Sounds like a shameless plug. (Mind you I use keyword discovery). Quite frankly, nobody has access to logs of any of the search engines so everybody's data is imprecise. That means the best info is your own, and then your own data based on the numerous keyword generators/engines out there.
