As you have mentioned that you are going through the process of SEO from last 6 months but still you are unable get PR.SEO is long process,so you have take patient.
I have some more points,it might help you out.
1.Join the forums and social groups so that u can also participate in group discussions. It doesn't mean that u can advertise your product or services.
But it will be helpful for u to make aware about your product with your good and quality comments/posts.
2.Other thing is that u can join some social networks like linkedIn ,Konnects, BizToo, Jumpup, etc.
3.U can give press release so as to announce your product and services .PR should not be more then 1 or 2 times in a month. But if U have launched some new product then u can give PR.
4. Blog-post at least 2 blogs per day with quality content.Give good comments on others blog.
5. The other major thing is constant SE submission and Directory submission.
6. Avoid deep link submission in SE and directories.
I think that if your site content and links are good then your site PR will definitely get increased.

one of the most important things for PageRank is the age of your site, it will get some rank only for beeing in web for some time.

well you can do both 1 & 2
but I guess you should check the rules of some forums to see if you can do
number 3
it's better to be safe than sorry:)

Hi Rohit, Do you want to increase page rank of your site or ranking in serp. Ranking in serp is more important than page rank. so if you are getting high ranking its good gor you so concentare on getting backlinks from relevent sites.

Hmmm.. as much as I or we wanted to help you but that's called spoon feeding
already..
but heres a tip
try to google rival sites.... then go to their links then you will a have a list of
your potential partners.. choose the ones that are relevant to your site..

Page rank is useless it is given according to how much page rank your backlinks are sending to your site, but having a good PR wont give you high serps

Search Engines Can offer a very good rank just by the age of the website ..

Hi Rohit,
How about instead of monitoring pagerank you monitor rankings. As far as I can see your site is not selling links so what is the benefits of checking this?
I have a PR2 site outranking PR6's for competetive keywords because of the link anchor text's and the page context to which they are based. Sure pages with higher PR carry more weight but there are many more important things in the ranking algorithm.
Concentrate on the aspect's that will bring you revenue rather than pointless things such as the evil green toolbar everyone seems fixated on.
I can honestly say I have not checked page rank on a client site since I began and I have never had problems.
Cheers,
Dave

I've also a great advise for you:
Don't waste your time with directories where the sub categories are out of Google cache.
