Well, I am using SEObook's Keyword search tool. It provides the number of searches for certain keywords in top search engine sites. and they also have other SEO tools aside from keyword search.

Depends on your needs. A1 Keyword Research (http://www.micro-sys.dk/products/keyword-research/) tool is good for some things but not necessarily a complete tool and solutions for everything you will ever need.

Best keyword research tool, the free ones would always be the best. Try the one Google has. But you are free to try those that are on subscription base like SEMRush, KeywordSpy, Adgooroo, WordTracker, Spyfu...

I use word tracker in three different ways, then I go to Google. I don't just verify it there, I go for much more information. By the time I'm done, I use a third tool to tell me which of the keyword phrases perform the best.
The important differentiation is that 1) Not all tools give you the same results because 2) they don't all work the same, and 3) they surely don't use the same data sets.
Once you have the right tool, now the real question is do you have the resources (time, money, and IBL Authority) to fight for position? Hmmmm.
