How to increase visitors in Alexa Search Engine

I think increasing visitors in yahoo, Google and live search engines are easily but in case of Alexa it is difficult. I am getting very good traffic from other search engine but i am not getting that much visitors in Alexa.

Can anybody suggest me how can i achieve visitors from Alexa

Alexa check your log file of the domain on your server and on that bases it decide the traffic rank. You are easily getting traffic from Google How much ? more than 100 a day . Give me some tips please

Use Entrecard. Their users mostly had installed Alexa toolbar. Then like magic, your Alexa rank will increase accordingly.

There is no way that Alexa checks the log file on your server. It counts the visitors of your site with Alexa toolbar installed on their computers.

Alexa is not a search engine in the traditional use of that term, they are a Toolbar provider that maintains a directory of related websites.

For the most part, the traffic they send you is through their toolbar which displays related website links. You have to convince other webmasters to list your website as a related website in the Alexa directory.

You can add and update your own listing and include the sites that you feel are related to your own. This will benefit those other sites, but has no impact on traffic to your own site. You only benefit when other webmasters add your site as a related website.

I think if you are getting traffic from other search engines especially google, yahoo, and MSN, there is no need to worry about alexa.

I just know if you have a high alexa rank,it means more consumers who use alexa tool log in your site,but i have not check how many people go to my site from alexa.I just attention about google.

I wouldn't worry about alexia the reason you might not be getting alot of traffic from them is everyone uses google, yahoo and msn.

I used to have the Alexa toolbar installed in my browser and I checked my ranking there daily. I was holding steady at about 30,000 with a few peak days around 6,000.

Then I decided to turn the alexa toolbar off one day to maximize my browser window and never turned it back on. When I turned alexa off in my browser, my site's ranking dropped from an average of 30,000 to an average of 110,000. I realized then that about 80k of the alexa ranking is nothing more than a circle jerk.

I have not cared two hoots about alexa since.

I've never really heard of anyone claim that it's easily to get traffic from google yahoo etc...

i don't see how alexa should be any different.

alexa is not Search Engine, I think that it's a measure traffic of your website, it processed information about the web and more... alexa provide toolbar, it provides traffic ranking, information returned community as related links...
in my mind only three Search Engines are most powerful, Google, Yahoo and MSN if u listed in three Search engines. you will get more traffic....
