Experience With Ask Sponsored Listings?

I wanted to see what people who have used Ask's new sponsored listing program thought? Good or Bad Conversions? Level of traffic? I have been using it currently since it opened in August, and early on had some great results that quickly faded as the CPC went up to. Ask claims by using there service you get to broader reach to by listing on places like Motley Fool or Excite. I do believe they are right on the reach part, but not sure if how qualified these visitors are as compared to YSM or Google?

I've been using it in a reserved sort of way. I'm not sure it all makes sense because AFAIK, you can achieve the same results (unless someone else is using Ask Jeeves) by using Google adWords. That said, I believe it's marginally cheaper.

Tentatively, I don't think it's too exciting.

I used Ask for about 3 months for a client and while the conversion rates were very nice, the traffic was less than satisfying. At this point, it appears that Ask is useful for lowering the average CPC if you are also using G and Y.

For a keyword, you could spend $5.00 in G, $3.00 in Y and only $0.80 in Ask. So once you average out the cost, it may be a good thing...

Hey guys,

Just had an intesting conversation with an ASK rep. Thought I would include this phone number for Ask Jeeves Sponsored Listings as well in case anyone was looking for a phone number. The people at Ask PPC don't like to receive phone calls. So I recommend calling them anyway with any big problems with billing or listings. They are rather helpful.

Agreed! Ask reps, especially Matt is extremely helpful and accomodating. If only G and Y had that level of customer service :p
