This is going to sound NUTZ to everybody, but links are quickly losing their value with the BOTS. Companies are selling links and controlling the search engines and Google doesn't like it! CONTENT that is SUPER OPTIMIZED got me to Page #1 of Google in 8 days for one site and and 13 for the other.

Reciprocal links are arranged when two web sites agree to link to each other.
Reciprocal links are also known as "link swaps", "link exchanges" and "link partners".
Reciprocal links help you in two ways:
1. They increase your web site traffic, from people who click on the links.
2. Reciprocal links also play a major role in boosting your rankings in search engines.

A reciprocal link is an agreement between two webmasters to provide a hyperlink within their own website to each other's web site. Generally this is done to provide readers with quick access to related sites, or to show a partnership between two sites.

Reciprocal Linking happens mostly on directories, it's a 2way link exchange. I don't rely much on directories,I only choose the top sites that gives good results.

Reciprocal linking seems to be losing its value, especially when one webmaster asks for a link to their homepage and gives the exchange on a links exchange page, which is just a page with a bunch of links, usually not related.
If the reciprocal link exchange happens where both webmasters place links in the homepage or content, then it would be much more worthwhile than exchanges where they put it on links pages or lower ranked 3rd party sites.

Reciprocal link is the URL of the page at your site where you placed a link of another site. I do not think it helps much in SEO. It is good that you get a link at another site, but on the other hand you will make a big sandbox from your site littering it.

It still does help though, especially if you get a link from a related site. Mind you, it's related SITE not page. :)

It is a kind of agreement reached by two sites. Site A link to site B. And Site B link to site A.
It will do little hep to your ranking unless you are linking to high PR sites which would seldom be possible if your site is not good enough.

Reciprocal Link or 2-way link Exchange is the best way for a website.First of all I can say the link exchange between two sites we can say 2-way link exchange.

What do you mean with "is the best way"? I'm quite sure 90% of our members will disagree.

A reciprocal link is a mutual link between two objects, commonly between two websites to ensure mutual traffic.
Take little care while going for this option..!!

This argument will go on forever so all I can do is offer my own opinion. I believe that if done in a purely natural way then reciprocal linking is fine. When I say naturally you have only got to look at all of the top SEO authority websites out there. They all link to each other.
If something is worth linking to then link to it (this is how the internet has progressed) then concentrate on your own content and if the site you linked to likes something on your website then hopefully they will link back. This is reciprocal linking that is OK.
The bad reciprocal linking is the sort you link to me and ill link to you. Total waste of time. Content content and more content.
if two sites share their link on their sites then it is known as reciprocal link.or we can say if two sites provides links to each other on their link page for increasing the traffic on their sites, its called reciprocal link.
