I have seen many topics on many forums and still I wonder what the standard way of link building is? How to gain more PR and traffics?
For example my website deals on real estate business and currently on PR3 with 400 Visitors per day.
Do I need to go with my business related sites with any PR and with any Traffics?
Do I need to go with my business related sites which has PR greater then my site and which is having low in traffics?
Do I need to go with my business related sites which has PR greater then my site and which is having high amounts of traffics?
Do I need to follow do follows?
Do I need to go with any sites which have greater PR and Traffics then my site, but the business is not related to my site?
Please do advice me on this…

When link building, try and concentrate more on establishing links with related sites and the above will happen. In an ideal world we could cherry pick the High PR sites that are related to your industry 'real estate' and that would eb enough, but its not. its very much a numbers game and a continuous process. Obviously the higher the PR the better but in my expereince the quickest way of getting higher PR sites to link to yours is by a 3 way link exchange

These two should be your focus, linking to your related sites with high PR helps your site to have traffics and share the PR juice..Also, build links for your site by these techniques:
article submission
blog commenting
social bookmarking
forum posting
directory submission
This will help you on driving traffic to your site and will also help your site to generate backlinks..

The general idea about link building is to get backlinks for authority sites in your niche that rank well but other links are also useful but not as effective. You should also vary your incoming links in terms of dofollow,nofollow/ reciprocal,one-way etc. Also ensure that your backlinks have anchor text in them, because it is observed that these are the best types of backlinks.

All of the above. But you must also choose what's good for your site.

Blog Post and Commenting---say something for teh content's sake;
Forums Posting---contributing useful info;

As was mentioned earlier, you're on the right track. SEO takes time. A site's PR definitely as an effect, but I'm not sold on the idea that it should be the absolute focus of your SEO efforts.
