In the latest revision of its Back Link Analysis Algos -
Google has withdrawn any PR from Dynamic URL pages or Pages that display certain non alpha numeric characters in the URLs
Als0. Forums Threads have lost their PR - Even those Forums with VERY HIGH PR Homepages and Categories.
Some forums that have had certain PR4 Threads for Years - suddenly became PR0
The Google PR will extend from Home Page to the Categories - but will automatically disappear in forums Threads
There are a few exceptions who have slipped by for Now - but this is about 90% completed

Examples? Have these threads lost PR because they are dynamic urls, (confirming your first point), or do static-looking thread urls (mod-rewrited) also lose the PR?

I don't think that will ever happen. With mod_rewrite option, all webmasters can make the URLs of their dynamic pages to be static-looking as DD pointed out above.
Any examples? :D

This of course was expected - knowing the directions that Google appears to be going in
But Dynamic URLs have REALLY been Striped -
But interestingly example, PHP Directories that display Dynamics URLs have lost their internal PR
Updated versions of the same directory software, that automatically convert sections to Statics URLs are showing PR in the Link categories
The Forums themselves whether they have dynamic URLs or whether they did inact Server Side Modifications to make the Threads Static....
All Seemed to have suffered the same fate Complete Loss of PR internally
One very Striking example is a PR9 forum - all internal Categories and Threads are now PR0 - THEY ARE ALL DYNAMIC
Other forums using the same software but using Static Urls are showing Categories One or Two PR below the Forum Homepage PR
One very Striking example is a PR9 forum - all internal Categories and Threads are now PR0 - THEY ARE ALL DYNAMIC
Can we all have a look please ;)

I'm sure it's all temporary. My site lost it's PR for a couple of days, now it's back. That happens from time to time.
