Google is just screwed up

I can't recall seeing such a disaster happening at Google... I don't know what they are doing, but right now it is just a huge mess. Pages showing up as supplemental results everywhere, with no cache link on them. PR showing as 0 on the toolbar, even though tools like SEOchat's PR checker show it as 3 on every datacenter... site: commands showing 100,000 pages for someone, and 3,000 for someone else... just a big sloppy mess

Wonder when this will be sorted out.

I'm happy to ask someone to check this out. Please send an email to XXXX with specific domains and the keyword "gonesupplemental". I have a theory about this, which I'm asking the crawl/index guys to check out, but I'll need 5-10 specific examples to check if my theory holds. If my guess is right, I'll try to get the crawl/index folks to get things back to the previous behavior.

Can't hurt (much) to try, I guess.

Whenever something messes up in the SERPs to a large scale as is the case at the moment, I tend to relax and wait until things themselves get clear; instead of making false conclusions and getting confused. As pointed out by Wit above, even GoogleGuy is not sure what has happened to the big G right now. So, our best bet would be to give it a while before reaching a conclusion and get baffled. Just my 2 cents! ;)
