Although Google keeps coming up with updates after updates. The purpose of those updates is to fight against webmaster that are abusing the system or webmaster that are trying to manipulate the system just to get better ranking. Those updates are not intended to render link building less effective, it makes it more difficult to achieve better ranking with low quality. If you want to do link building, you should focus instead on building quality links.
