    Google found some white on white txt left over from the original design on my parents websites..

    I am most greatful for the email from them... I've removed the white on white txt and going to send a reinclusion request.. The site is still in the serps something to watch and learn...


    Good tip check old sites code, when you redesign tripple check.. !!!

    What KIND of WOW was it? The <font color> type or css? Inline css or separate file.... You REALLY have to give us a bit more gabs

    This was back in 1999 when I used font ... I'd changed the background colour and forgot about the text colour..

    The text make sense so it was a quick site wide find and replace to make the text stand out...

    Amazing to see.. The rankings on the site are nothing to do with the hidden text which is interesting..

    Its an old site and some top rankings for non competive terms which has had no seo work since 1999..

    So i've learnt "must check old sites"

    I have to give props to Google for even giving you a notification. Most cases they would just dish out a penalty and forget about you.

    I agree...

    The text wouldn't of effected the ranking as it didn't need to be invisable.. Its still on the site now but visable ... Its only 1 sentence on the footer as well.. No cloacking / etc.. nothing.. no pages of hidden txt just 6 words.. hmmmm

    Heavy hand imho ...

    ok .. I have 2 domain pointing at this site dew to my old host taking an age to transfer the domain (took 2months) and google removed the 1 but the other is still index but all suplementals..

    So will it come out of the sups ?

    And guess what..

    Site is back in

    And the rankings are better than before!!!

    Off to phone my parents.. lol .. I only told them this morning that i'd got their site banned lol
