Thread: Blogger inserting noindex tag

  1. Default Blogger inserting noindex tag

My blog was removed from the Google index today and I noticed this was being caused by the blogger <$BlogMetaData$> tag which inserted a noindex, nofollow meta tag into the template.

I've replaced this tag from the template but it seems strange it produced this line of code anyway.

When you set it up, did they ask you if you want to keep the blog private?

Can you find the exact setting?

I noticed your blog homepage had disappeared yesterday, when I ran a search you usually rank for. I presumed it was on purpose for whatever reason or a funny DC.

    Should of mailed you

I haven't changed any of the settings, such as making this private, but I've just changed the design to use a new template, inserting the Blogger tags in the right places. I'm guessing I've done something wrong somewhere but I'm not sure what it is!

Yeah I was checking to see how the new design affected the search results, didn't expect that though

It doesn't look like I'm the only one with this problem, some more people have commented about experiencing the same thing on my original blog post.
