Default spam getting out of control on Blogger

Has anyone noticed the spam is getting out of control on Blogger?

I have a bunch of Google Alerts set up for my company's products. Look at what I got this morning (everything looks legitimate until the last line):

    ********************

    Phosphatidylserine-Endurance Enhancer
    By glrfpe(glrfpe)
Phosphatidylserine (PS) is a naturally occuring compound found in many foods such as...
Lesbian Strap On - <<HAVE TO OMIT URL FOR THIS POST>>

    ********************

Oh, and by the way, when I follow the links, there are often Adsense ads for singles & dating, sexual performance, credit reports, etc.

Roughly 2 out of 3 new blog alerts for my products are illegitimate like this one. I thought Google to a strong stance against porn? To say nothing of purportedly being anti-spam. Does anyone know what's going on here?

    Thanks
    PB

It can take google a while to work out if its spam..

spammers are always trying to get around it to pay some bills and porn pays well..

I wouldn't worry to much as most spammers are after the long tail terms and are unlikely to rank and stay in the index..

If you really don't need the comments at all, just refrain from signing up for the approval of comments and don't check the box that says, "allow comments". The same thing happens in wordpress even if they have control over spams. Don't worry about them as they don't get to you too long.

Blogger offers a spam filter that is very helpfully. I do not even read any comment anymore to approve them. I just don't have time for it. Recently Blogger made that you cannot post backlinks to your website. You can only get a backlinks to your own Blogger Blog account Blog.

I think you can make a stop for the spamming. Turn on the option of moderation! I also turned on and thanks for this I haven't any problem with the spammers

I'm not sure . . . If there is a no-follow setting on a link the page rank giving is only the blocked from your site to the link, but the spammers can get a good position in the search engines by the spam keywords.

    Just for a sample:
    HTML Code:
    <a href="http://www.pageofspammer.com" rel="nofollow">Spam Page</a>
If the owner of Spam Page has many links on different blogs' comment pages according to the above HTML code, he or she can get a very good position in the search engines with the "Spam Page" keywords. And you know for the good business not the value of Page Rank is the important, rather the relevant site traffic must be in the focus. That's the reason why the viagra can be a good online business and in the top most cases the owners are spammers!

According to my opinion the "no-follow" setting on a link is not enough protection. On the comment places the captcha solutions are really useful and of course the best if the comments are editable by you. On WordPress it's possible and the Akismet plugin is really great for the catching of spams!
