backinkwatch.com and marketleap have a good one. They usually return different results though, marketleap is usually higher. I prefer backlinkwatch though because it shows the actual domains of your back links so you can tell the quality of the backlinks. It is also useful when determining if websites have used paid linking, which i'm sure you know is outlawed by the major Search engines.

    Hope it helps

My favourite one used to be the submit express tool but it has not been working for a while unfortunately so i have been using the one at marketleap instead but occasionally i will do a quick google search and find a new one.

There's Google Analytics (although I think I've read somewhere of a complaint I cannot remember).. You can also try backinkwatch.com .

Hi, there are many online tools and softwares which can be great for checking the inbound links but they can provide limited assistance, do you know why?

The majority of them connect to the Yahoo data servers and so, are limited to the first 1000 links displayed at the Site Explorer panels. On the other hand, Google also shows only sums of the links via link: command and the majority of them can only be seen by using your Webmaster Tools section.

So, it all turns back to the first spot on the circle which means direct access to the personalized results can be the best way around.

The link: command isn't that reliable because Google doesn't show you even half of the backlinks you have. Yahoo Site Explorer or Backlinkwatch.com is better and more accurate.

I know two profession services from the free of charge category. The 1st is the Google Analytics and the Webstat dot com is also an alternative.
