Advantages!

Hi!
I would like to know what advantages does Yahoo have comparing with Google?
Does it have some minuses (which exactly)?
I just would like to know your opiion onthis topic.

Well, if you are considering advantages from the point of view of a website owner, I think the best advantage is the fact that you won't have to work very hard to get good rankings in Yahoo as there is less competition for Yahoo search engine rankings

I think the worst point of Yahoo is it's algorithm. I have seen many websites which are not relevant according to the keywords entered and they still have good rankings in Yahoo

The advantage of Google is that by far (at least for my websites) 80% or more of my traffic comes from them. So Yahoo is a smaller fish as far as referrals will be concerned. Therefore I should focus 80% of my effort of Google, imho.

The advantages and disadvantages are the same. Less people try to get top ranking in yahoo so it is easier to get top search engine rank, but on the flip side less people use yahoo to search.

I think yahoo is easy to rank compared to google but at the same time traffic is also low on yahoo.

Yahoo has its advantages also, I believe more conversions are from Yahoo than google, probably because its more specific pool of users. Everyone uses google so you have more voyeurs.

Do you think yahoo will be as effective as google. Kind of wierd to be using yahoo, been used to google for so long. Yahoo also provide the analytical facility .

Yahoo cannot be compare with Google both of them are different. Google is much faster than Yahoo. But back links are generated by Yahoo. Also Google cannot read nofollow and its not same with the Yahoo. The procedure is easy with Yahoo but not with Google.
