  1. Question The NEW MSN Search Engine

Windows Live Search will be in beta phase for several months, and when it exits testing it will replace MSN Search and become the search engine of Microsoft's MSN.com Web portal, said Justin Osmer, MSN senior product manager. "This is the next generation of our search engine," he said.

I have mixed reviews because I won't make up my mind until it comes out of Beta but here are some of the "little" things that annoy me so far.

    1. No pages. Where did all the pages go?? Now it's just one gigantic SERP which is overwhelming to me. Why break something that wasn't broken??

    2. Scrollbar interface??? WTF is that about?? I played around with the scrollbar more than actually looking at the results. Also if your going to add a scrollbar for the organic ads at least add one to the AdCenter ads. They are lonely ;P

    3. No "back to top" button. Ok while playing around with the scrollbar I ended up around result #80 or so. Now how do I get back to the beginning of the SERP?? Oh wait no freaking "back to top" button. So either I search again or sit around for 15 seconds while the SERPs scroll back to the top.

    4. Bottom AdCenter advertiser is getting ripped off. Anyone notice the bottom ad gets cut off sometimes??? It's only a title. There should be a better way to scroll through the ads with out having that happen.

I'll keep an eye out for this one but there is no way I'm going to start using it especially when the back end is still driven by MSN Search. They did do a decent job with the image search even though it's slow as hell.

It's in the tabs above the "big ass" SERP. Just click on "Images" and it'll display images related to your query. Similar to how you switch to image search in Google.
