Question Customer Feedback - best way 2 use for ranking

    Hi,

We get over 50 letters a month from satisfied customers..

We want to put these on our site, becasue this is potentialy great content and could help our rankings if all these were linking to our main site...could anyone recommend the best way to do this ie:

    a) A Blog
    b) statis web pages on the main website
    c) a new url ie www.companyname_testimonials.co.uk

Or any other option that would be good... or best

    Thanks

Normally, I would put this on the main site, /testimonials/ and feature a random one on the home page. But it depends on what your goals are.

Well, I have 2 goals really...

One is to try and get the pages indexed on google because there is quite a bit of negative press when you put in our company's name.. so i want to try and fill the first page of google up with pages from our site.

And the second reason is to increase our position under certain keywords... The site wasnt even in the top 200 3 months ago.. adn i have now managed to get it to 11th/12th under the keyword fitted kitchens. and i want to try and give it that final push on to the first page.

Can you advise me of a good stategy

One site I work on i've put 40 quotes from our customers per page of quotes..

Each and every month I add just one quote...
(to lazy to do more and think its pointless)

Times, dates, name and location are very importmant in regards to testimonials imho..

Good luck with that. You'll only get one listing per search.

What I would do is give each testimonial it's own page (depending on length) and put a truncated version of the testimonial somewhere visible preferably in the top right hand corner of he site so it's seen. I would than link the shorter quote to it's own full page testimonial. Just be sure to use strong keyword heavy for the 1 liner quotes. This will help you rank for certain terms. This will also enstill trust to your users. spread the quotes out through out the site. I wouldn't randomly display them because you wont get the full SEO benfit. They need to be hardcoded so Google sees the quote on every visit. Also put the very best testimonials closer to the homepage and the weaker testimonials further away from the homepage. Clickwise that is.
