I can't think of a use for it (yet)...
The first thing that came to mind was this search http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...m+london&meta= visitbritain site and a location .. but its still seems pointless ?? |

They match on "florida" or whatever location and automatically think you want tourism, dining, shopping etc. But if used with the site command, then they cannot assume that, as we have demonstrated here.

I believe that what is assumed is that if a user is inquiring about "florida" then they have a physical relationship to the location, therefore they might be in need of the full local experience. I think is a pretty interesting idea.
