I quickly generated a Google Custom Search Engine that only searches SEM forums (or should only search SEM forums)...
It is at http://www.seroundtable.com/googlecse.html Thoughts?

Interested in a Firefox / IE7 search engine plugin? Send me an icon and I'll slap it together.

The one from SER ( http://www.seroundtable.com/favicon.ico ) or from this forum ( http://forums.seroundtable.com/favicon.ico )? Probably SER, right? (I'm not sure if the forum has a default one
) |

Hi Barry
here it is: http://oy-oy.eu/google/cse/data/ser/ I made one for Firefox 2 / IE 7 (OpenSearch) and one for Firefox 1.5. You can have the OpenSearch one be auto-discovered by including the following code in your head-section: Code:
<link title="SER's SEO + SEM forums" rel="search" type="application/opensearchdescription+xml" href="http://oy-oy.eu/google/cse/data/ser/ser.xml"> |

Cool, Ill add a link to that on the Forum Search page, but can you explain more about the auto discover with OpenSearch... What is the point?

Auto-Discover is available in IE7, I'm not sure about Firefox 2 (I think it is)... When you open the page with IE7, it will highlight the search field and when you open the search dropdown, you'll see the search plugin with a small "star" next to it. It's just a small sign of showing that a site has a search-plugin available for it.
