Another Way to Advertise in Google: Paint Your Roof Top

Via ThreadWatch, people are painting their roof tops to get free organic rankings in Google Maps Ads.

I had the same thought of doing this since Google Maps is so popular, but I wanted to see if the company I worked for would paint "Google Sucks" on the roof and see if Google Maps would pick it up. Word would travel fast for "Google Sucks" on Google Maps. Then everyone would want to know what building it was at and word would get around about the company I work for. Some what of an advertisement for the company.

I got the same idea last summer when I post this. Also Ford have done the same for the 2006 Superbowl, but this was more for the planes and TV coverage of that event.

But it's for long term only. The satellite data will change not often. May be at each 2 years if we are lucky ! The paint job have to be well done ;-)
