Nop most of the top 10 are govermental site and nothing directly to do with seo.. This is a algo issuse with geo stuff..

I dont know about getting outranked by .com.au sites but i have a site that google ignores the robots.txt for and instead indexes my affiliate landing page via clickbank hoplinks instead.

There are a lot of great online entrepreneurs and marketers from Australia that I'm not actually surprised if they dominate the search engines. Truth be told, UK is still trailing behind US and Australia in online businesses.
