Street view about to hit the UK ?

The bbc mention this morning that google are taking photos this week in the UK for google maps for the street view but haven't seen any posts about the google VAN as yet ?

I haven't seen one yet, but there have been reports from all over the UK of Google cars on the streets.

Google cars on the Street in UK? wow. that's pretty interesting. I hope there'll be Google cars in my country.

I have heard of a few sightings by local people but not had the fortune to witness one myself.
